About Chad

After a time in the non-profit, ministry world, Chad has joined Abacus to build on his academic credentials. He feels called to architecture and believes it is a service connecting others, creating meaningful relationships and manifesting dreams beyond the built environment. Aspiring to become a developer as well as an architect, Chad sees architecture as a means of galvanizing and transforming the community. He is reveling in the learning opportunity each project presents at Abacus for interacting with individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds.

On working with him

“I’m driven by the ability of design to serve a variety of individuals and create opportunities for them to intersect.”

On his favorite project

“I’m doing a broad spectrum of work as an intern—schools, higher education, homes, offices—and gaining experience with different building typologies and scales.”

On his own time

“I’m an avid traveler and recently returned from Washington DC and Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. I’m an active volunteer in civic causes and the entrepreneurship community. Bottom line, I’m a champion of Milwaukee, plugging people in to where their passions are.”

On relational architecture

“I immediately resonated with the firm’s core qualities, such as relational architecture. To me, it means getting to know clients and understanding their dreams and passions.”
