OVERVIEW

You can almost smell the innovation at the new Johnsonville Sausage Research & Development Technical Center, where functions previously scattered throughout the campus are now joined into a cohesive whole.

Conceived as a multi-use facility, the building features open-office space for engineering and R&D staff, as well as test kitchens, a packaging lab, and a pilot plant where manufacturing scenarios can be mocked-up.

Clad in a two-tone scheme of metal siding, the new building’s contemporary exterior pays homage to the adjacent corporate headquarters building. Still, it maintains it’s own personality on a picturesque site, overlooking the Sheboygan River.
